A young tourist from Germany, who arrived in Greece about five days ago, was found to be positive for coronavirus in a test that was performed. According to information from competent services, the young German had rented accommodation with his family in the area of Stoupa in West Mani.
As it became known, it will be served immediately at the reference hotel, located in Analipsi, Messinia.
The other 4 members of his family, who show no symptoms, will remain in "quarantine" in the accommodation that are already in Stoupa and in the area a ladder of EODY is expected to proceed with checks as well as "tracking" of the already confirmed case.
This family went to be tested on their own after hearing that a relative back in Germany had been taken ill with Covid. The whole family were tested All except the 18yr old son tested negative. All asymptomatic. Son is in the designated quarantine hotel at Analipsi Near Messini & the rest of the family are under lockdown. Officials from the Greek Tourist board & the Department of Health are interviewing this family in order to track & trace all their contacts. I think this family have been totally responsible in all their behaviour & should be applauded for their swift action in relation to getting tested.
