New campaign: "We remain safe"
After the campaign "We will stay at home", the Greek government has now launched the campaign "We will stay safe" (Μένουμε Ασφαλείς). The new slogan was launched during the press conference where Prime Minister Mitsotakis announced the relaxation of the corona measures.

The "We remain safe" campaign consists of 3 pillars: washing hands, keeping a distance of 1.5 to 2 meters and wearing a mask.

From 4 May it is mandatory to wear a mask in public transport, taxis, hospitals and when visiting public services (such as supermarkets, shops, hairdressers, beauty salons and driving schools). Anyone who does not wear a face mask risks a fine of 150 euros. The mouth masks are available at pharmacies. The elderly are advised to stay at home.

"We have to learn to live with face masks, just as we have learned to live with helmets on motorcycles and seat belts in cars," Greek Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Nikos Papathanasis told ANT1 TV.

Papathanasis said detailed instructions will be given in the coming days on the conditions to be met on a case-by-case and shop-by-store basis. He added that there will also be instructions on how to make a mouth mask at home.
