The scenery of the central square for Christmas is changing this year , with the installation of a 15-meter high fir tree - one of the tallest Christmas trees in the country - which will come from Durragh, Arcadia , from a private nursery.
The fir tree will be 15 meters high and the diameter of its branches will be 8 meters, and is expected to dominate the central square. The tree will be installed as planned in the early hours of Friday, November 24, and will be lit the following Friday, December 6, with festivities planned for that evening. The lighting will be accompanied by the usual festive concert, while a concert with local bands is also planned for New Year's Eve.
