Waste disposal is a major problem in the area and the Dimos has produced a document advising citizens and visitors about how to they should deal with and REDUCE waste by recycling and composting. The original in Greek ΟΡΘΟΛΟΓΙΚΗ ΔΙΑΧΕΙΡΙΣΗ ΑΠΟΡΡΙΜΜΑΤΩΝ is being displayed in a number of places including the sides of new waste bins.

Parea sti Mani (Παρέα στη Μάνη)
The aims of the Parea sti Mani site are to provide information about important events in the area, information which might affect residents in the area, and information which could be useful in emergency situations.
